Owen Tippett re-signed with the Flyers. According to 9DollarPerHead.com sources, the eight-year deal is worth $49.6 million. Also, his new contract will start next season. It will have an average yearly value of $6.2 million.

Tippett may have been a restricted free agent following the season, but he is now in the last year of a two-year, $3 million ($1.5 million AAV) deal he signed with the Flyers on July 29, 2022. Currently tied for third place on the Flyers with 30 points, the 24-year-old forward has scored 18 goals in 46 games this season, second only to Travis Konecny (22 goals).

A lower-body injury kept Tippett out of action for three games starting January 20. On Tuesday, the player was put on injured reserve. He has eight points with six goals and two assists in his last seven games.
