DraftKings Launches New Hampshire Sports Betting

DraftKings launches its New Hampshire sports betting app, making the state the latest one in the US to offer sports wagering. DraftKings signed a six-year contract with the state to provide sportsbooks.

New Hampshire will get 50 percent of the revenue. In the fiscal year 2021, the state expects to get around $7.5 million from sports betting. It expects revenues to grow to $13.5 million in 2022. Proceeds of the sports betting tax revenue will fund education programs of the state.

Governor Chris Sununu placed the first bet in the state when he wagered on the Patriots to win the Super Bowl. The company plans to have as many as ten retail sportsbook locations in New Hampshire.
