PPH and Sports Betting – Make Quick Payouts a Priority
The Right PayPerHead is Essential
By Charles Jay
When you engage in the use of PPH software, you are definitely on your way to being in business, and when we say that, we mean taking the whole thing into the 21st Century. Undoubtedly there are a lot of benefits involved in streamlining an operation, but none of that makes you the best bookie you can possibly be unless you can treat your customers the right way.
Indeed, since Price Per Head (PPH) software has been available, it has demonstrated itself to be able to take care of the “nuts and bolts” of a sports betting operation to the extent that the bookmaker himself has the chance to devote much more time to marketing and serving the customer. Indeed, it is pitched that way.
So it is incumbent upon any agent (the term PPH operations use to describe the “bookie”) to serve that customer well.
And that starts with paying them faithfully and on time.
EXPLORE THE POSSIBILITIES OF A PPH BOOKIE
Remember that when you are a bookmaker (very few people who are actually involved in it seriously would call themselves “bookies“), you are, in effect, like a “bank,” in which people are making a deposit (in virtual terms, if they are operating on credit), and expect that when they have money coming, it is going to be there, without any questions, delays or hassles.
If you cannot pay on demand when the transactions call for it, you are not performing. You are, in fact, under-serving the customer. So take heed of this.
ATTENTION: NO SPORTS = NO PayPerHead FEES
We have no idea what the nature of your relationship is with your customers. Maybe it is something that is more casual than it might normally be, so you will pay the customer “when you see him,” or vice versa. But that isn’t so often the case.
Just as you wouldn’t want one of your players to fall too deeply into a hole, they shouldn’t want to see you doing that either. We just want to tell you that there is nothing worse for a player than to have a regularly scheduled day to collect and not be able to. They will drop you like a hot potato.
Remember, it is a very competitive atmosphere out there. It could be that one of the reasons you have a customer playing with you in the first place is for convenience. Rather than send money offshore, and having to perhaps wait a while for that payout to come, they might feel more confident in dealing with someone they know and trust face-to-face, where they can collect easily.
But if they can’t collect so easily anymore, they are going to wave you goodbye. Nobody wants headaches. And instability is a real turn-off in this business. You may figure you’re the only game in town, so to speak, but believe me, a customer who wants to play will find options if he needs to. At least they know that if they go with a reputable offshore sportsbook, they are going to get paid, and it will happen a lot faster if they are willing to use Bitcoin.
And if you’re in a tight-knit community, which might be the case if you’re just operating on a “local” basis, word will get around. And suddenly, you might find yourself killed off as far as your little enterprise is concerned.
So serve the customer right. Make that a major priority. Don’t be a problem when it comes to paying out.
