According to a sportsbook pay per head blog, Brandon Graham stays with the Eagles instead of becoming a free agent. However, another veteran is available for a trade out of Philadelphia. Graham agreed to a one-year extension worth $6 million.
Graham told sports news outlets that he is not thinking about money at this point in his career. Instead, it is about coming back to play for the Eagles. Also, he does not want to miss the run the team is about to go on. It will be Graham’s 14th year with the Eagles.
According to football betting experts, Graham’s performance last season was one of the best ones of his career. He got a career-high eleven sacks. Also, he got 16 quarterback hits. He is the longest-tenured Eagle with 178 regular season games. In addition, he has a total of 70 sacks and 451 tackles. His most memorable play was the strip sack on Tom Brady during Super Bowl LII that helped the Eagles win the Lombardi Trophy.

Although Graham is staying with Philadelphia, another Eagle will not return next season. Darius Slay got permission from the team to facilitate a potential trade.
Negotiations to trade for Slay have their origins in his current contract issue. The Pro Bowl cornerback is in the final year of his contract and wants a new deal that includes guaranteed money for next season.
In 2023, the cap amount for Slay’s current contract is $26.11 million, while his basic pay is $17 million.
This trade authorization is standard when parties cannot agree during contract discussions. So, for example, Drew Rosenhaus, Slay’s agent, may check into the cornerback trade market and come back to the Eagles in an attempt to find a middle ground.
