Michigan sports bettingLearning how to be a bookie is quite popular these days. With the popularity of sports betting rapidly spreading across the world, many want to be part of this growing industry. In the US alone, we see, on an almost daily basis, developments on each state’s efforts to have their own local betting markets. One of which, is the Michigan sports betting market, which, depending on how things will be handled, could launch soon.

The state’s Joint Committee on Administrative Rules, last Tuesday, waived the 15 session days required in the final draft of the rules. This means that the sports betting and online gaming rules are good to go. The next step, is to forward the rules to the Office of the Great Seal.

So when will be seeing the likes of a sportsbook pay per head in Michigan? Licensing, in general, may take a few weeks before we can actually see a wager placed in the state. Sports betting operators can tie up with local tribal casinos, and commercial casinos in Detroit, to offer online sports betting in the state. Since this provision includes online sports betting, the state’s regulatory board will need to make sure that all platforms will be safe and meet the technical requirements set by the state.

Of course, the timing is just right. If Michigan can launch this month, then they will do so in time with the NBA Opening set on December 22. There is also ample time for the state to get ready for the Super Bowl. A lot of pay per head sportsbooks log the Super Bowl as the single most popular sports betting event of the year, raking in millions of wagers each year.
