Florida Gators VS Georgia Bulldogs
Georgia Bulldogs

The Worlds Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party Has Been COVID’d

A heated rivalry sees the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs (4-1) face the No. 8 Florida Gators (3-1) on Saturday, and the winner controls their destiny to make the SEC Championship Game next month. It may be a week later than usual, but the SEC East goes through the World’s Largest Cocktail Party yet again this year.

The Saturday kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Fla., and will be televised on CBS.

Except for two years in the 1990s when the new stadium was built, this game has been played in Jacksonville every year since 1932, and Georgia holds a 52-43-2 advantage. The Bulldogs have won three in a row after the Gators won three straight from 2014-16. Since 2004, they are an even 8-8 after the Gators went 13-1 from 1990-2003.

Georgia Bulldogs Betting Outlook: Dominate on Defense

In betting with us at, the Bulldogs are 2-3 ATS, and the under is 3-2 in their five games. The defense has dominated this season, ranking fourth against the run (80 yards per game), 12th in scoring (16.2 points per game) and 13th in total yards (300.6 yards per game). The offense is middle of the pack and only ranks top 40 in rushing at 175.2 yards per game while the scoring is 565th in the nation at 29.2 points per game.

Georgia throttled Kentucky 14-3 on the road Saturday as they limited the Wildcats to 91 passing yards. The Bulldogs recorded four sacks, and cornerback Richard LeCounte recovered a fumble.

The bad news came postgame when LeCounte ended up in the hospital after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident, leaving his status for Saturday as questionable.

Quarterback Stetson Bennett IV was shaky Saturday with nine completions for 131 yards and two interceptions. Bennett has 1,089 yards on the season with seven touchdowns and five interceptions.

Running back Zamir White carried the load against Kentucky, running 26 times for 136 yards with a touchdown. White has 402 yards on the season with six touchdowns, while Bennett has the other two rushing scores.

The wideouts didn’t have much to do against the Wildcats, with four players catching the nine passes from Bennett. Running back James Cook had four catches for 62 yards, while wide receiver Kearis Jackson had three catches for 25 yards.

Florida Gators Betting Outlook: Air it Out

In betting with us at, the Gators are 2-2 ATS after a Saturday cover against Missouri, and the over is 3-1 in their four games. The offense ranks seventh in the nation in passing (342.8 yards per game), 10th in scoring (42 points per game) and 16th in total offense (476.5 yards per game).

The Florida defense has struggled in the first three games, and it ranks 54th in scoring (29.3 points per game), 41st against the run (133 yards per game), and in the bottom 10 in the country in passing yards (300.3 yards per game).

After missing two weeks with a COVID-19 outbreak, the Gators bounced back with a 41-17 thrashing of Missouri on Saturday. They were still without eight defensive backs and two other starters, and those players may not be ready for Saturday. The Gators also await disciplinary actions from the SEC after a halftime brawl that resulted in multiple ejections.

Quarterback Kyle Trask had another big game, throwing for 345 yards and four scores. With the four touchdowns, he set an SEC record for the most touchdowns in the first four games (18). He has a 68% completion rate with 1,341 yards and two interceptions.

Trask led Florida in rushing Saturday with 47 yards, while Dameon Pierce had 39 yards on nine carries. Kadarius Toney had the lone rushing score, while overall, nine different Gators had at least one carry. Pierce leads the team with 169 yards while Toney averages 10.4 yards per carry.

Toney had two touchdown catches with 60 receiving yards, while tight end Kyle Pitts hauled in five balls for 81 yards. Trask found nine different targets with his 21 completions.

Pitts has 22 catches for 355 yards and seven touchdowns, while Toney has 22 catches for 297 yards and six scores.

Betting Analysis

It will be interesting to see who is out for the Gators, especially on offense, as they have struggled to score against Georgia during the losing streak (13.6 points per game). The favorite is 6-0 since Georgia upset the Gators in 2013, and the under has hit in six of the last nine.

Trask, Pitts and Toney give the Gators their best chance in years against Georgia, especially if LeCounte is out and they can protect the ball.
